Horizon Hill Farm has 8 large grassy pastures. We have Diamond Mesh Fencing, and two of the lower fields have run in sheds. Each field is also equipped with a no climb gate, and a heated automatic Nelson Waterer. The latest improvement to the facility has come in the form of a pasture with two medical pastures attached and two 18 x 24 size stalls. This is a perfect option for lay up, or foaling out!
The Rings & Cross Country
Horizon Hill has two rings.
Our indoor arena is 90 X 180. With updated footing and a new base, finished in November of 2014, our indoor is one of the nicest in Chester Springs. The indoor has a GGT/Permaflex mix that gets groomed daily. The indoor also has a watering system, three large doors and windows to help with airflow come summer.
The outdoor arena is approx 100 x 250. We sand in the outdoor and with appropriate dragging daily, this footing is quite nice.
In addition to the indoor and outdoor, we have access to hundreds of acres of fields for trail rides and cross country work. March Creek State Park is less than 5 miles from the farm, and there are quite a few hunt clubs that are locally accessible.
Currently, Horizon Hill Farm's main barn has 10, 12 x 12 stalls. Each stall has a Dutch Door for horses to be able to look upon the outdoor arena. Additionally, we have two heated wash stalls, a heated observation room, heated tack room, storage room, laundry room, feed room and a hay loft which allows for additional storage. King Construction built our barn back in the early 2000's and it was recently updated in the fall of 2015.
The bank barn has 4 foaling stalls, and these are available on a very limited bases only.
Elizabeth's Sporthorse Program
Horizon Hill Farm was purchased 12 years ago by The Lubrano Family to serve as a home base for Jacqueline and Elizabeth's show horses. For 8 years the farm did just that. Horizon Hill turned into a boarding facility for all disciplines focusing on individuals looking to independently manage their own show careers, and did so for 5 years. Started in the spring of 2015, Elizabeth began her own business. Horizon Hill Hunter Breeding, LLC primarily focusing on breeding A/O friendly Hunters and producing sport horses to compete at the highest levels. Her oldest baby turns 4 in the spring of 2016 and recently won the Sallie B. Wheeler Young Hunter Hack Class.
